The Challenge
Lord Sandwich, Israel’s leading sandwich company for 30 years with a wide range of catering and hospitality solutions, approached us with a fascinating challenge: What does a company that dominates the Israeli market do when it wants to break into the world? In other words – how do you transform a local brand producing fresh products with a short shelf life of just a few days into a significant international player? In a world where product freshness is critical, we were asked to bring the company an innovative solution.
The Innovation
We developed the Full Wrap for Lord Sandwich – an innovative component for the global sandwich industry! A unique tortilla made from sprouted red lentils that perfectly addresses the global trend toward plant-based protein-rich nutrition and meets the hottest trend – high protein, low carbs! The product is gluten-free, preservative-free, with exceptional structural strength alongside high flexibility for wrapping sandwich contents and an extended shelf life.
Lord Sandwich’s innovative tortillas are selling tremendously well to consumers in Israel’s major retail chains under multiple brands, and to the IDF as a sandwich suitable for celiac patients and those avoiding gluten – opening the door for the company to expand into global markets. We simply reinvented the sandwich!
